I’m Heather Stanton and at 65 I’m at last sorting out a website!

I have been working in the fitness industry for over 28 years, teaching a variety of classes.

I have been teaching Freestyle Fitness Pilates for over 22 years – having completed my initial training and ongoing training with Rachel Holmes at Choreography To Go.

In 2021 I qualified as a Level 4 Instructor in Mat Pilates, also using small equipment.

At the start of the Covid Pandemic I created an online class to help keep people motivated and moving, that 30-minute Friday Class is still ongoing and is just as popular.

Other on-line classes have been developed HIIT, Body Conditioning using Tabata style training, keeping each class fresh, fun and doable, helping women of all ages and levels to achieve their fitness goals I Currently teach 4 online classes and the rest are face to face.

I teach a popular community class in T30 Fitness Studio Pwllheli Gwynedd on a Tuesday morning.

Fourteen months ago, I began teaching bespoke evening classes for 10 clients in an art gallery (Lle Art Carys Bryn Gallery) the gallery is a beautiful place to work from and is owned by my friend Carys Bryn.

The classes in the gallery are in high demand only 8-10 in each class, with only small numbers each client gains in confidence.

The classes are always different and challenging working with small fitness ball, yoga block or 1kg physio ball weights.

I absolutely love teaching Pilates, my own fitness motivation was waning pre covid due to a succession of injuries, with time and Pilates practice I have overcome the setbacks and improved my own strength, flexibility, and fitness too.

My background in fitness began at age 12 when I started running, I ran competitively for Stoke athletic club, enjoying middle distance running and cross country, I enjoyed some success and endured failures too.

Once I moved to Wales to live, I represented Eryri Harriers a local running club in many cross country and fell running events.

Due to injuries I switched to mountain walking, completing the 3 Peaks Challenge.

I am a member of Rhodwyr Llyn / Llyn Ramblers and still enjoy mountain and long-distance walking.

I live in Gwynedd, North Wales with my partner, I have a 40-year-old son living in Cornwall and I’m lucky to have two beautiful grandchildren.

Online Pilates classes available via Zoom and FaceBook

Wednesday Pilates Challenge Class

9- 9.45am via Zoom

This class is suitable for the more advanced client, we follow the principles of Joseph Pilates, adding in power and stamina.

The class is based on Fitness Pilates, where greater focus is on more functional moves.

Equipment is used in this class – Glider / Mini Fit Ball / Yoga Strap / Yoga Block.

£26 for 4 sessions.

Friday Pilates Basics 9 – 9.30am via private group on Facebook

This class was started during lockdown and proved to be a great success, it is 30 mins of choreographed basic Pilates moves, encouraging everyone to keep moving.

Suitable for all levels.

£20 for 4 sessions

Other Classes

Tuesday 8.00am / Thursday 8.00am

These classes are 30 mins in duration and are a mixture of HIIT /Body Conditioning / Weights Working Supersets.

Pilates Community Class Face To Face

This class started in June 2022, back teaching real time.

Pilates Flows / Circuits.

Not suitable for a complete beginner.

I’ve been doing the online pilates with Heather since lockdown began . The classes are always interesting with different movements. I love the convenience of the online classes and the fact that you can access saved classes at any time . This is the first time i’ve maintained doing a regular exercise . I have been attending Heather’s Intermediate Pilates Class at T30 and on line for a couple of years.
I always look forward to the classes.
Heather has a passion for her work and is extremely knowledgeable and is so personable and friendly. I always feel in safe hands with her.
I had an accident last year and had several fractures of the femur. At one time I never thought I could do pilates ever again but returning to Heather’s class has made a significant difference in my rehabilitation and daily  life . I feel physically stronger and my flexibility has improved and I am able to do more each week.
I highly recommend Heather’s Pilates classes. She’s the best.

I have been doing Hiit/ weights classes with Heather for a while now. I do them online so i can do them at my own convenience at home, and are always available if I want to do extra one week. There a great class with a combination of cardio and strength training. I’ve found these classes have helped me with my overall fitness. Heather explains things really well and always gives you different variations of some of the exercises to make them easier or more difficult depending on where you are with your fitness. I would recommend these classes to anyone no matter your abilities.

T30 is easy to find, and parking facilities are excellent. The venue is comfortable, well-ventilated and has toilet facilities. There is ample space to work on the floor and to spread out mats.

Whilst fairly new to pilates, I joined an intermediate class and have always felt comfortable from the start. There is the right amount of challenge and Heather ensures movement choices wherever possible so that you can work at the level that’s right for you.

I like the 45 minutes format. It works well and is well designed to ensure time for warm up and wind down. The classes always start promptly and finish on time. Heather is always supportive of the class, and the collegiate, friendly nature of the class means it’s always an enjoyable session. Heather also challenges the class to make sure we get the best out the session and push us out of our comfort zones wherever possible.

I have participated in Heather’s classes for approx 18 months, including some online work. I can honestly say the benefits are immense. I was recommended to try pilates by a physiotherapist who was treating my lower back problem. Since attending Heather’s classes, there has been no recurrence of the back issue. I feel stronger and my upper arm strength in particular is much improved. I feel my balance is better now. After Heather’s classes I often feel a burst of energy that helps to propel my other activities that day which is amazing! Heather’s pilates sessions are always varied, and include practical elements designed to keep the body active and support day to day movements. I can highly recommend!

After 4 months of attending Heather Stanton’s Beginners Pilates class, the benefits have been outstanding as I’ve gradually improved my muscle tone and balance.

Heather’s encouragement as she expertly guides us through the hour long session pushes each person to their own limits without the different weekly workouts being too extreme.
